Who We Are
The Tour de Connecticut, hosted by Connecticut Innovations (CI), the state’s venture capital arm and leading source of ongoing financial and strategic support, is an iconic, week-long, 200-mile cycling trip across the state. Throughout the journey, riders meet with early-stage companies from CI’s portfolio and stop by local attractions along the route, spotlighting the state’s innovation, culture and scenic beauty.
Follow along as the CI venture team and other influential leaders pedal across the state for our third annual Tour de Connecticut. Along the 200-mile route, we’ll meet with trailblazing startups, uncover hidden gems and engage with the innovation ecosystem.

September 15–18, 2025
The ride kicks off in Stamford and winds its way through New Haven, Hartford and Storrs, wrapping up in Mystic four days later. Along the way, the CI team will be joined by special guest riders from Connecticut’s vibrant ecosystem, making every day another collaborative adventure.

The Tour de Connecticut simply wouldn’t be possible without the commitment and enthusiasm of our partners and pit stops. They are the heart of the ride—opening their doors, joining the journey and helping us amplify the incredible innovation happening across the state. Each company, local business and guest rider represents a vital piece of Connecticut’s diverse entrepreneurial and cultural ecosystem.
Day 3️⃣ of our Tour de Connecticut was packed with some of the state’s top attractions — from Dunkin’ Park, America’s Best Double-A Ballpark and home of @hartfordyardgoats Baseball ⚾️, to historic landmarks like the State Capitol, and iconic local eats at @reins_deli 🥪 We even made our way up to Storrs, uncovering hidden gems across campus with @uconn President Radenka Maric and getting a firsthand look at the innovation driving the university forward. ⏭️

Looking back on a DAY 2️⃣ RECAP! Tuesday started off bright and early with back-to-back meetings with CI portfolio companies @veradermics_study and @inboxhealth, followed by our quarterly board meeting. 💡 Our crew of 10+ riders included partners from Purpose Built, @climatehaven.tech and @quinnipiacu, traveling with us from New Haven to Naugatuck to stop by CI portfolio company @p2science 🧪 We refueled at @frankiesct in Waterbury, a classic, family-owned Connecticut restaurant, before heading on to West Hartford. 🏙️ 110 miles done in the first two days! ✅ #tourdect
DAY 1️⃣ RECAP: We kicked off the Tour de Connecticut with a powerful start yesterday, visiting incredible companies across the state. From pedal power to purpose-driven innovation, Day 1 was all about connection, community, and celebrating what makes Connecticut bold! 🗺️🚴♂️
