Who We Are
The Tour de Connecticut, hosted by Connecticut Innovations (CI), the state’s venture capital arm and leading source of ongoing financial and strategic support, is an iconic, week-long, 200-mile cycling trip across the state. Throughout the journey, riders meet with early-stage companies from CI’s portfolio and stop by local attractions along the route, spotlighting the state’s innovation, culture and scenic beauty.
CI's venture team, board members, and other influential leaders pedaled across the state for our third annual Tour de Connecticut. Along the 200-mile route, we met with trailblazing startups, uncovered hidden gems and engaged with the innovation ecosystem at local pit stops and events.
2025 Ride
September 15–18, 2025
The third Tour de Connecticut kicked off in Stamford and wound its way through New Haven, Hartford and Storrs, wrapping up in Mystic four days later. Along the way, the CI team was joined by special guest riders from Connecticut’s vibrant ecosystem, making every day another collaborative adventure.

Connecticut Innovations took on New York City 🗽 — and it did not disappoint. Every year, this trip does something no Zoom call can: it brings our intern cohort together, puts them face-to-face with the people building the future, and makes the CI network feel real. 🚀 Thanks to everyone who opened their doors to us last week.
From small actions to big impact. 🌍 To celebrate National Volunteer Month, our team partnered with Connecticut Green Bank and the Ocean Recovery Community Alliance (ORCA) for a beach cleanup at Nathan Hale Park in New Haven—removing over 300 pounds of trash from our shoreline. 🚮 CI is proud to carry on one of our favorite annual traditions and do our part to protect the places we love. 🌊♻️ @orca.cleanup @connecticutgreenbank
